Gefilte Fish Out of Water

Last week I posted about how I let Pete chomp down an entire leg he pulled off a dead crab when we went to the beach. Meh, it’s got Omega-3’s, I thought.

Well, we paid the price the next day.  Pete had more diarrhea than Charlotte in SATC1.  Plus, even though it’s normal for dogs to have a little bit of clear eye goop every morning, Pete’s was out of control after our beach trip, and it was a green color.  A really nice G-Fish reader commented that the diarrhea was probably due to the crab leg, and the eye goop was probably the result of irritation from the salty sea spray.  Just as the commenter suggested, both symptoms vanished in a few hours.

I also posted last week about the new bone I got Petey.  When my friends and I brought Petey with us to grab some coffee last week, he kept beefing something awful.  Turns out it was because of this bone.  Must be too fatty or something.  Plus, he had the return of the shits.  So, I think it’s going to be rawhide bones from now on.  They don’t last as long as actual dead animal bones, but they last for pretty long, and we’ve had no digestion issues around them.
