It feels like Wednesday today, even though it’s only Tuesday. And it doesn’t have anything to do with time zones. It’s because the work week in Israel is Sunday-Thursday (or maybe through Friday morning), because of Shabbat. It really takes some getting used to. Sunday is really “Monday,” TGIT is a concept, and people do crosswords and brunch on Saturday morning, which is Israel’s “Sunday.” Israel is the only country with a work week like this.
