Meditated yesterday morning for like the first time in a month. Normally my weekday routine is to make some coffee after getting up, then read a little bit of spiritual literature while I drink it, then meditate for 15-20 minutes. (I take weekends off.)
But in the last month or so, when I laid off in New York and not going into an office (and running around doing all my Aliyah prep stuff and then moving), and in the first 10 days here (running around doing all that Ministry crap), I just hadn’t been doing it.
But yesterday I got up, made the Joe + breakfast, ate it while reading, then sat still and meditated for 20 minutes (concentrating on the rising and falling of my belly). Whadda ya know? I felt great doing it and had a really good day afterwards. It was the first day I worked 9-to-5 continuously, and I really liked the routine.
